October 4, 2016

Today for our second anniversary, we went for a lovely autumn walk at the Rocky River Reservation.

We saw a couple of mallards

A red-bellied woodpecker

We saw (and heard!) a huge flock of European Starling

A Canada goose

A beautiful fall evening on the lagoon

A white-breasted nuthatch

While walking on the trail, we happened upon two male white-tailed deer fighting!

An action shot

A group of wood ducks

We hope to get back into birdwatching this fall, so stay tuned!

  1. Wow! I loved all the photos. The deer pix were one-of-a-kind! I also loved the nuthatch coming down the tree as only it can do, the Canada Goose was striking, and the "lagoon" photo was beautiful. THANK YOU for sharing! <3
