After a long break from birding, we visited Sandy Ridge Reservation for a beautiful springtime walk.

The bald eagles are back this year, and it looks like they're looking after a few chicks.

A goldfinch

A female yellow warbler

A pair of Canada geese parents with their goslings

A sandpiper

The pair of trumpeter swans are back, and this one looks like she's nesting on some eggs

An egret in flight

A beautiful day at Sandy Ridge!

A yellow warbler mid-song

Lots of Canada geese babies!

The tree swallows were out in big numbers

A great blue heron

An egret on the hunt for some lunch

A song sparrow mid-song

A kingbird

This one was harder to identify. We think it's a female warbler of some kind

We almost missed this green heron

Another yellow warbler

The dogwoods were in bloom

An egret

A small great blue heron

A Baltimore oriole

One last shot of the bald eagle nest before we left for the day

Until next time!
